En colaboración
con Caixa de Galicia y la Academia de Arte de Bergen, el grupo noruego
de artistas Gutengut se encuentra en Santiago de Compostela produciendo
la obra Aurora Borealis (Luz Nórdica). El proyeto de gutengut se
realiza con el apoyo del Real Ministerio de relaciones exteriores y de
La municipalidad de la ciudad de Bergen.
La obra es un evento que tendrá lugar el dos de mayo en el restaurante
santiagués de Las Huertas ( Calle Huertas 16, Tel 981 56 19 79).
Dureante el evento Gutengut consumirá una cena de diez platos ataviados
con turbantes y pinceles. El mantel usado durante la cena recibirá
luego el trato de reliquia y será exhibido en una muestra ("Dagr",
apertura el día 8 de mayo) junto a otros catorce participantes
nórdicos en el espacio de La Caixa de Galicia. La obra se origina
en la reflexión del grupo Gutengut en la historia de Santiago -
un peregrinaje paradójico sobre la pérdida de la virginidad
y la preservación de la inocencia.

Welcome
In cooperation with Caixa de Galicia and the artist Carlos Capelan, the Norwegian art group gutengut is located in Santiago de Compostela with the purpose of producing the art work "Aurora Borealis" (The Nordic light).
gutengut is supported by The Norwegian Ministery of foreign affaires (UD), and the city of Bergen.
The art work is an event wich will take place the 2nd of may in this restaurant. It will consist of a 10 meal dinner for gutengut wearing maurish turbans, where the table cloth will get the status of a relic and been shown in the Caixa de Galicia.
The work is based on Santiago´s history- "a paradoxal pilgrimage upon wich the group looses its innocence but their virginity remains intact"
gutengut have earlier had exhibitions in Berlin, Stockholm, Oslo and are traveling this spring to Bergen and Hamburg to represent Norway.
